THE HEINOUS PROVOCATION OF BANDERA NAZIS

Statement by the Chair of the CPRF Central Committee

A real hysteria has swept the West about the alleged “atrocities” of the Russian Army in the city of Bucha located near Kiev. The victims of the “atrocities” were allegedly discovered as soon as our Army left the region.

The Russian Federation has declared the necessity to call an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council in order to demand that Ukraine provides evidence. The Defence Ministry of the Russian Federation has already officially denied the accusations, stating that not a single civilian was injured during the location of Russian military formations in this city. Pictures of the so-called “murdered” individuals emerged only four days after the arrival of the Ukrainian troops down there. More other facts testifying the staged nature of this provocation are available.

As you know the key line maintained by the political and military leadership of Russia is the one aimed at maximum reduction of civilian casualties as well as decrease in destruction of civilian infrastructure. And in general the massacre of civilians is alien to the Russian / Soviet Army.

Even after the invasion of the territory of Nazi Germany in 1944-1945 that happened after monstrous atrocities committed by fascists in the USSR, the Red Army troops were given a strict order not to take revenge on the civilian population. And this order was rigorously implemented.

On the contrary the Armed Forces of the United States and other NATO countries have become famous for terrible reprisals. Simply recall Hiroshima and Nagasaki, peaceful cities where the United States destroyed hundreds of thousands of Japanese by using nuclear weapons. The bloody trail has been following the Americans in Korea, Vietnam, Yugoslavia, Iraq, Syria, and Libya -- where Americans are personally guilty of massacre or committed them by the hands of their local hirelings.

These bloody provocations look like the trademark of US imperialism. It’s quite sufficient to recall the “incident in Rachak” in Kosovo, when 34 dead militiamen of the terrorist KLA were presented as civilians killed by the Yugoslav military. Later, independent Finnish experts refuted this statement. But the job has been already done. The incident in Racak appeared to be the justification of NATO intervention against Yugoslavia. During 78 days of merciless bombardment of peaceful cities, thousands of people were killed or injured, and more than $100 billion damage was caused.

It is absolutely clear that the statements about the “atrocities” of the Russian army are a part of the information war of the United States and its allies against Russia used as a reason to support the neo-Nazis. The current pro-NATO Ukrainian elite  is more than capable of such provocations. The whole world looks with horror at neo-Nazis in Ukraine using civilians as human shields.

The taking of hostages by terrorists in the West is always being presented as a terrible crime. Meanwhile, dozens of cities and towns have been turned into hostages in Ukraine, whose residents are not allowed by the local Nazis to leave the areas of hostilities. The official authorities of Ukraine do not contribute to the creation of humanitarian corridors, but obstruct in every possible way the departure of citizens from settlements in combat areas.

In this line, first of all, the tragedy of Mariupol should be mentioned, where militiamen from the “Azov” Nazi regiment have arranged firing points in multi-storey buildings, along with the prohibition for residents of these blocks to leave the city. This is only a single, but the most terrible example of deliberate genocide, to which the “civilized” West turns a blind eye.

The Communist Party strongly condemns the heinous joint provocation of Ukrainian and Western politicians and demands a comprehensive and scrutinized  investigation not staged fakes, but of numerous real crimes of Bandera Nazis, including the brutal torture of Russian military.

Ukraine peace talks: seeing through the blizzard of confusion and spin

by Theo Russell Since the historic summit in Alaska between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin and their top level ministers, our media has been flooded by a tidal wave of deception and diversion, alongside a new campaign of Banderite inspired anti-Russian demonisation. The entire world recognises – with the possible exception of senior British military and intelligence chiefs – that NATO has lost the war in Ukraine, leaving total defeat or a negotiated settlement the only possible ways to end the conflict.  As of now, Trump’s position is that a comprehensive, lasting peace deal is preferable to a ceasefire, and that secondary sanctions are off the table. As we know Trump can flip his policies on a whim, but there is reason for optimism that genuinely he wants a settlement in Ukraine. This shift in Washington has thrown Europe’s leaders into a state of panic. The leaders of the ‘Coalition of the Willing’ are facing a political disaster on a massive scale, and as a result they are desp...

Nato press gangs in Ukraine

by a Kiev observer   American imperialism continues to ruin all states that call themselves democratic and independent. In fact, many countries have already lost their independence. Some lost it along with their currency; others by giving away their army. The White House continues to hide its financial greed behind the illusion of possible global protection. At the same time, regular workers and civil servants have difficulty understanding what is really behind the foolish statements of “collective security” peddled by the bourgeois media. An example of the realities that every worker will face in the near future is in the war in Ukraine. Despite all the statements we hear from Western media, the war in Ukraine was started by imperialism, and the reason it did it was to make more money. This war, however, has also exposed the steps and measures that modern capitalist governments under Nato command have taken in Ukraine, and shows what they will do in their own countries in the futu...

Ukraine: A Search for Identity and Freedom

by John Maryon Russians, Ukrainians and Belarusians are predominantly from the East Slav sub-group of the Slavic people.  Crimean Tatars form an important ethnic group of the population of Crimea.  The fertile lands of mineral rich Ukraine were for centuries shared between the Poles and the Mongols.  By 1500 the Ottoman empire had expanded and taken over South East Ukraine and Crimea.  In 1654, following years of conflict with the Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth, the Cossack leader of Ukraine pledged allegiance to the Czardom of Russia in exchange of protection. Russian influence increased and in 1797 Catherine the Great established the port city of Odessa and the region became an important part of the Russian Empire.  Today most people have heard of the Crimean War, Florence Nightingale, Balaclava and the Charge of the Light Brigade.   It was an imperialist conflict for Middle East influence between Russia and an alliance of France, Britain and Turkey....
