As the war in Ukraine continues and political tensions escalate, the danger of an expanded conflict involving nuclear weapons is rapidly increasing. Warning that time is running out, the Communist Party of Canada has called on the Trudeau government to immediately end its involvement in the war, withdraw all Canadian troops from the region and press for a negotiated political solution now.      In a statement issued at the beginning of October, the Party notes that the Canadian government “sees the war in Ukraine as a proxy war against Russia and is prepared to finance this war until every last Ukrainian soldier and civilian is dead.”       Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland indicated as much during her budget speech in April: “[The world] can be safe only once the Russian tyrant and his armies are entirely vanquished. Zelensky's Remarks Shows Putin Was Right to Launch Ukraine Op Vladimir Zelensky's remarks about the need to carry out "preemptive strikes" on Russia show that President Vladimir Putin was right to launch a special military operation in Ukraine, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday.      Peskov urged the entire world to take note of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky's call for a preventive strike on Russia. Zelensky made the comments during an online conference at Australia's Lowy Institute this week.      The Kremlin spokesperson emphasized that no one tried to "rein in" the Ukrainian president, there were only timid attempts to condemn the tone of his statements.      "There were some timid attempts, let’s say, to condemn Zelensky’s tone.
