Nato press gangs in Ukraine

by a Kiev observer

American imperialism continues to ruin all states that call themselves democratic and independent. In fact, many countries have already lost their independence. Some lost it along with their currency; others by giving away their army. The White House continues to hide its financial greed behind the illusion of possible global protection. At the same time, regular workers and civil servants have difficulty understanding what is really behind the foolish statements of “collective security” peddled by the bourgeois media.
An example of the realities that every worker will face in the near future is in the war in Ukraine.
Despite all the statements we hear from Western media, the war in Ukraine was started by imperialism, and the reason it did it was to make more money. This war, however, has also exposed the steps and measures that modern capitalist governments under Nato command have taken in Ukraine, and shows what they will do in their own countries in the future.
Now we can widely hear from the media and some politicians false and very speculative statements about the possibility of more “Russian aggression” in the future. It was under this false statement that the imperialists and war-mongers managed to drag Ukrainian workers out of their jobs and unleash the war. Many factories have closed, natural products are not being produced and added value is practically absent.
So, every time workers hear calls and voices for increasing Nato military power, it is a clear indication that very soon workers will lose their jobs and wages.
Having lost their jobs and finding themselves in a desperate situation, in a weak attempt to feed their families, Ukrainian workers were drawn into the war as military personnel. The Nato-led Ukrainian government has offered large payments to anyone willing to start “defending Ukraine” from “Russian aggression”. But what they didn’t explain was that not all payments would be made – because corpses cannot claim payments.
The real number of soldiers who died in Ukraine for wages they never received is hidden. We hear only the begging for money from relatives, in the USA, Britain, the European Union and South America, of all those who were killed in Ukraine. War does not bring money to workers – only death.
It’s a one-sided equation. In one recent body swap the Russian Federation handed over more than 7,000 frozen corpses of enemy combatants to Ukraine. Russia received only 27 body-bags of their own casualties in return.
The Ukrainian workers quickly realised that state-run recruiting stations, known as TCKs, are enlisting people under false pretences. But Nato commanders need to expand the war. They have ordered a tougher draft and opened more recruiting stations in Ukraine.
The lust for money always drives Nato and American imperialism to violate the UN Charter of Human Rights. New press-gang tactics have been introduced in Ukraine. Men are dragged off the streets, taken to the TCK’s (recruiting stations) and beaten and intimidated until they agree to sign the papers to volunteer for the army. Nato has always believed in conscription  and practice shows that national interests are not taken into account by US imperialism for any of the Nato member country.
When Ukrainian workers and soldiers realised that they were not going to being paid but just sent to the front as cannon-fodder to be killed or wounded they began to refuse to do military service en masse.
Following a wave of refusals to enlist, Nato command has further tightened compulsory conscription. Their commanders abuse their power by increasing the number of man-hunt teams, and recruiting stations known as TCK. The TCK officers get a bonus for every man they force into the army.
TCK originally stood for Territorial Centre for Conscription and social support. However, Ukrainians call these places of illegal detention “Territorial Centre for Torture and Killing”.
Many Ukrainians refuse to enlist but resistance is beaten out of them.
These modern press-gangs roam the streets of the villages, towns and cities of Ukraine looking for victims They are then taken to the enlisting stations – well- equipped with double security bars and cell-type rooms – to be pressed into the army.
Men are stopped on the street for a routine ID check, and after a short conversation, TCK thugs drag them into a car for processing at the local recruitment centre. There men are kept behind bars like animals and anyone who refuses to “volunteer” is beaten or killed.
Most Ukrainians do not support Nato and Zelensky’s military adventures, and since they have many relatives in Russia, they do not want to go to the front. Despite the lies in the Western media they do not hate Russia. The do not want to kill Russians. All they want is peace and normal business with Russia.
Since 2022 many Ukrainians have actually been fighting, not against Russia, but against the Ukrainian regime and Nato. Others are trying to escape by crossing the border. Today, the number of military personnel guarding Ukraine’s borders exceeds the number in the armed forces. When Zelensky claims to have the largest armed forces in Europe, he fails to explain that more than half of his troops are guarding the borders from people who do not want war, civilians, deserters and draft dodgers.
Many men are walking the streets with axes, knives, guns, grenades and other weapons to protect themselves from the mercenaries of the conscription stations.
After two years of public resistance, Ukrainians began calling relatives in Russia with massive requests to increase the number of airstrikes on TCK stations.
Every Russian strike on the TCK station is widely welcomed by the Ukrainian public, and every day many Ukrainians continue to look for ways to give away the actual location of TCK stations to the Russian forces.
Despite the best efforts of Nato, the bourgeois media and the Ukrainian secret police (SBU)  the number of calls from Ukraine to Russia with requests to carry out strikes on TCK is enormous.
Ukrainians daily appeal to Russian troops to increase the number of airstrikes on TCK stations as hotbeds of human rights violations.
On 10th July the exact locations of two TCK stations in cities of Kremenchug and Kirovograd were revealed in comments on the local Ukrainian Svetlovodsk Vlasivka Telegram channel as well as other TCK army recruitment centres.
Many Ukrainian Telegram channels and local media outlets are now openly calling on Russia to carry out more strikes to destroy all Nato’s TCK stations located in Kiev, Dnipro, Odessa, Kharkov and other parts of the country.
The Zelensky regime is now trying to maintain the TCK’s dubious services by equipping and opening new stations in local hospitals, schools and universities.
Zelensky and his government are now openly at war not only with Russia, but also with all the people of Ukraine. The war helps Zelensky to stay in power, despite his illegitimate status as a president whose term of office has long since expired.
The press-ganging has become widespread in Ukraine under the direct supervision of Nato. Therefore, all citizens of Nato member countries could be subject to similar cruel treatment – conscripted by Nato at any time and sent to any war.
The imperialist rulers’ governments continue to intimidate people with “Russian aggression” scare stories to maintain their grip on society. But peace is falling apart all over the world. Imperialism and the NATO rulers want more money and demand larger payments from Nato members who then have to exploit workers and make them work more for less to pay their dues to the Atlantic Alliance. All this suggests that the imperialists and Nato want more bloodshed in the Palestine, Syria, Ukraine and the  Donbas, and are trying to profit at the expense of working people.
To save our lives and the lives of our children we must condemn all those who spread lies and incite wars among the people. We condemn all those who talk about an inexplicable “possible future aggression” while unleashing new wars around us.
Workers, doctors, police officers, soldiers, teachers and civil servants have no enemies in other countries. In Ukraine, and even in Israel, people are sent to war against their will. The ruling class want war because they want to make more money to prolong their stay in office. Workers want peace and stable jobs. Anyone who wants militarisation and opposes peace must be removed from power.
Workers don’t make money by killing other workers. They earn their living by doing honest work for productive value and added value.
Every day the NATO imperialists, accompanied by their accomplices and collaborators, are using social divisions to continue to trample on the rights of people and profit from exploiting working people..
The only reliable way to resist existing brutality is by rallying the workers and conducting the class struggle, joining and organising the anti-war movement; against of Nato; against of injustice and condemn all superpower and super-capitalist gangs.
Unite, speak out against wars and condemn the warmongering! Unite with others to save your lives and the lives of your children! Unite for peace!

Ukraine: A Search for Identity and Freedom

by John Maryon Russians, Ukrainians and Belarusians are predominantly from the East Slav sub-group of the Slavic people.  Crimean Tatars form an important ethnic group of the population of Crimea.  The fertile lands of mineral rich Ukraine were for centuries shared between the Poles and the Mongols.  By 1500 the Ottoman empire had expanded and taken over South East Ukraine and Crimea.  In 1654, following years of conflict with the Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth, the Cossack leader of Ukraine pledged allegiance to the Czardom of Russia in exchange of protection. Russian influence increased and in 1797 Catherine the Great established the port city of Odessa and the region became an important part of the Russian Empire.  Today most people have heard of the Crimean War, Florence Nightingale, Balaclava and the Charge of the Light Brigade.   It was an imperialist conflict for Middle East influence between Russia and an alliance of France, Britain and Turkey....

On the suspension of Bill O'Brien and relations with TANA

IUAFS statement on the suspension of Bill O’Brien from International Ukraine Anti Fascist Solidarity (IUAFS), and relations with the Truth and Neutrality Alliance (TANA) A dozen IUAFS activists have been consulted in drafting this statement, and evidence for everything in the statement is available in the form of message screenshots, meeting records and multiple witnesses. Introduction  IUAFS is a broad front campaign group made up of three organisations, The New Communist Party of Britain, Posadists in Britain and the Consistent Democrats. These organisations have different political views on many issues, but work on the basis of tolerating disagreements. However, they are all agreed on the progressive role of the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China in the world today, and the desire to support the eradication of the scourge of Nazism in Ukraine and the national liberation of the people of Palestine. Its members also oppose fascism and racism everywhere, a...

An Outrage Against Civil Liberties!

International Ukraine Anti-Fascist Solidarity statement on the Galloways’ detention The detention of George and Gayatri Galloway on 27th September is an outrage against civil liberties and basic democratic rights, and a very sinister attack on one of the best-known left-wing politicians in Britain, and his family. It is an attack on the democratic rights of all working-class people and the labour and anti-imperialist movement generally by the pro-NATO, anti-Russian militarist and Zionist government of Starmer. IUAFS condemn this act utterly and declare our full solidarity with George and Gayatri against this sinister attack. After arriving in Gatwick Airport on a flight from Abu Dhabi on 27th September after celebrating their wedding anniversary in Moscow, George and Gayatri were picked up by armed “anti-terrorist” police. They were told “you are not under arrest, but you are not free to leave. You do not have the right to remain silent. If you do not comply and cooperate, and answer a...
