Early in the morning of 6 February 2026 a man attempted to kill Russian General Vladimir Alekseyev. Around 7 am the killer, posing as a food delivery courier opened fire on Alekseyev outside his flat in Moscow. One bullet hit him in the leg and two in the body. The unarmed general grappled with the gunman who then fled the scene. Though badly wounded the general is now recovering in hospital.
On the same day the Ukrainian media outlet ‘Новини.LIVE’ reported that the assassination attempt was apparently aimed at disrupting Russian-Ukrainian peace talks.
A source in the Ukrainian presidential administration immediately commented on the situation: “The most likely version is that a third party attempted to disrupt the negotiations in its own interests. In this case, the attack was directed not only against the Russian general, but also against the negotiation process itself, the continuation of which is most interesting to Ukraine today”.
The Zelensky regime initially tried to avoid accusations of organising this terrorist attack. But Russian law enforcement agencies quickly identified four suspects and detained three. A woman named Elena Serebryanskaya, who rented an apartment in the same building, fled to Ukraine the day before the attack. She had obtained General Alekseyev’s schedule and an electronic key to the hall used by the killer and his accomplices.
Another suspect, Lyubomir Korba, who had fled to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, was arrested by the Emirati police and handed over to the Russian authorities.
Korba later confessed on camera that he was hired by the SBU, the Ukrainian intelligence service, to kill the Russian general.
Two other accomplices in the planned murder were also detained in Moscow. They testified and admitted on TV to Ukraine’s organising role in the attack. A Soviet 9mm Makarov pistol with a silencer belonging to Korba that was supplied by the SBU was also found hidden in a snow pile.
The most astonishing thing about this terrorist attack is the piffling amount of money offered to the four participants. According to Korba’s confession, the group was offered a reward of $30,000. Dividing this amount between four participants, each would get a measly $7,500 for the hit.
The Ukrainian government gets hundreds of billions of dollars from the West to prolong the war with the Russian Federation. Zelensky and his government have stolen most of this money, while Ukrainians live in such terrible conditions that they are ready to kill anyone for an extra $7,500.
President Zelensky, whose term of office has long since expired, has once again domonstrated a complete disregard for law and order, as well as Trump’s demands for peace. He’s stooped to the point of hiring assassins to kill high-ranking officials.
Ukrainian intelligence is believed to have been behind previous attempts to assassinate Donald Trump. The hitman assigned to kill Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico also had ties to Ukraine.
World leaders who refuse to provide military support to Ukraine are now clearly putting themselves at personal risk. The terrorist attack in Moscow is an open public threat and warning to all those who oppose Zelensky’s desire to continue the war. Who’s next…?
